HYAKU-PA® NO BREW OCHA® is organic Japanese green tea you shake instead of brew: 80 % matcha and 20 % sencha, the whole leaf, in single-serve packs. Made in Japan.
The brand
百パ (hyaku-pa) is Japanese for 100 %. The name stands for three promises: 100 % natural, 100 % traceable, 100 % convenient. HYAKU-PA and NO BREW OCHA are registered trademarks. Great tea. Simplified.
NO BREW: a third way to make tea, with the whole leaf
Until now you had to choose: quality or convenience. NO BREW OCHA gives you both.
Next to hot brew and cold brew, it is a third way: not brewed hot, not steeped cold, but the leaf itself, shaken. No extraction as in steeped tea, no filtration as in bottled tea: the whole leaf.
Tear open one 2.5 g pack, add 0.5 to 1 litre of cold or hot water (under 80 °C), shake or stir. Thirty seconds, no whisk, no bowl, no steeping time, nothing left over. The fine sencha pieces act as a natural agitator while you shake, so the matcha disperses without clumping.
The tea: NO BREW OCHA
UMAMI-RICH · FRESH · LIGHTLY ASTRINGENT
80 % matcha from a field in the Abe valley in Shizuoka: deep green, clear, rich in umami and sweetness (amami). First harvest, 24 days shaded, stone- and ball-milled.
20 % sencha: deep-steamed Asatsuyu leaves from a field in the Kirishima mountains in Kagoshima, in 3 mm pieces. Fresh, sharp, floral.
Composed and blended in Shizuoka. One ingredient: organic Japanese green tea. No sugar, no additives.
Colour reflects quality: the greener, the more chlorophyll and theanine. Ours came out greener than every international brand and nearly every Japanese export matcha in a panel of 120 teas at the Tea Science Center of the University of Shizuoka, which is rare for organic tea.
Per portion (2.5 g, batch 07/2026): about 70 mg caffeine, 32 mg L-theanine and 345 mg catechins. Caffeine typically ranges from 60 to 75 mg. About 25 kJ per prepared drink.
NO BREW HOJICHA
The same principle with dark-roasted leaf: hojicha powder from the cultivars Okuhikari and Yabukita, both grown in Shizuoka. Roasted aromas of cocoa, espresso and roasted nuts. It contains 2.3 % caffeine, about 58 mg per portion. That is high for a hojicha, because it is made from high-grade first-harvest leaves.
Traceable to the field
NO BREW OCHA is not an open-market blend. Each of its two teas comes from one named field, and both fields are published with their coordinates. You can open them in Google Maps.
- Matcha: Abe valley, Shizuoka · 35°02'59.4"N 138°21'02.5"E. The Abe river region is one of the birthplaces of Japanese tea. River mist and steep mountain slopes give the plants natural shade. Cultivars Okumidori, Saemidori and Yabukita.
- Sencha: Kirishima, Kagoshima · 31°53'22.4"N 130°45'17.0"E. Volcanic, mineral-rich soil and strong differences between day and night temperatures. Cultivar Asatsuyu.
Both fields are certified organic. The teas are blended, portioned and packed by Marufuku Seicha Co., Ltd. in Shizuoka, and every pack carries its batch and best-before date. Certified organic under JAS and EU rules, and residue-tested by Eurofins.
Packaging and formats
- Paper tube: 3 packs, 7.5 g. The one you carry.
- Set of three tubes: 9 packs, 22.5 g.
- Storage can: 30 packs, 75 g. Stays at home and refills the tube.
- Display box: 9 tubes, 27 packs, 67.5 g. Opens into a counter display.
- POS shelf: a two-tier counter stand made of solid board, 30 × 44 × 20 cm, that presents tubes, storage cans and bottles together.
Tube, can and box are made entirely of paper. The single-serve packs use a barrier laminate that protects the tea from light and oxygen and keeps every portion fresh.
For business: the display box and the POS shelf are well suited for B2B use, whether for your own team or for resale in gyms, studios, cafés and shops.
